Capital market indices did not leave behind acceptable conditions in the second week of January and faced negative returns.
Capital market indices behaved in the opposite direction this week compared to previous weeks, and the Tehran Stock Exchange total index rose from 2 million 848 thousand points at the end of last week to 2 million 788 thousand points at the end of this week, recording a total of 2.13 percent in its performance.
In contrast, the total index of equal weight had a more balanced behavior than the total index and faced an increase of less than one percent, equal to 0.41 percent.
A notable point is the decrease in the volume of retail transactions, which recorded a decrease of about 20 percent this week.
Last week, the Tehran Stock Exchange left behind its recent positives and somehow adjusted the positives, and therefore did not face positive returns.
Due to the closure of commodity markets and the lack of volatility in the markets due to the Christmas holidays, there will likely be no significant volatility in the market this week.
